Established in 1921, Churchdown Club has been run for the benefit of its members for over a century. Today, it remains a welcoming and friendly space for members, guests, and the wider community to relax, socialise, and enjoy regular entertainment. CVBC as the bowls club located within the main club footprint wish to acknowledge our relationship and on going association as it clearly works for all concerned.
It starts with community - We fund community projects that help people connect, grow and build a better future. We focus on supporting people facing poverty, disadvantage or discrimination. By 2030, we will share over £4 billion to create stronger, fairer communities across the UK.
CVBC would very much like to acknowledge to the grant of £9000 we received in 2021 which paid for our Dennis Mower and its additional modules
Churchdown Parish Council’s goal is to work together with local residents and wider community here in Churchdown to support the development of a thriving and sustainable local economy and to promote the wellbeing of all who live, work and study here.
CVBC as a new entity required much assistance both financial and hands on, as such they would wish to acknowledge the way their own Parish Council have assisted in providing grants for the following:
2022 – Green costs, Advertising, Junior Bowls - £2500
2023 – Recruitment items and Website upgrades - £2500
2025 – Sprinkler System and Pump upgrades, 1 x new ditch - £2500
CVBC wish to acknowledge the granting of this following grant which was used to purchase numerous items that made our club more welcoming and open to both current and new members.

Ski groundworks and Construction in Gloucester are a family run business with over 40 years experience in the groundworks and civil engineering trade, we cover Gloucester, Cheltenham, Forest of Dean, Swindon, Bristol and all surrounding areas, all of our team have the correct tickets, eg cpcs sssts Street works and Npows tickets . We provide the following services; substructure, domestic groundwork, commercial groundwork, footings, ground stabilisation, site clearance, finishing work, civil engineering, concreting, construction, drainage, driveways, foundations, landscaping, roads and sewers, block paving, ground investigation, kerbing and tarmac drives.
2025 – Sponsorship of match day teas - £660
2026 – Donation of building materials for the new ditch - £500
